By the way 3.0mbps/384kbps are advertised speed. So practical speed can be 80% of it. You can go to this website:- http://www.dslreports.com and test your speed (Turn off all u'r download/upload/browsing). This test gives most effective result.
chaps ....if ur using cable internet then the highest UPload rate will be always lower then 100KBPS (realtime)........but if u wana increase the rate then try taking an ADSL high Speed line....they gives u 3/4 MBPS download/Upload.........but the problem is they will limit your bandwidth speed........so better to stick with cable..... ;)
