Thumbs up FUSION Yatra by Louis Banks & Pt. Ranu Majumdar

FUSION Yatra

This is a superb fusion exploration by veteran musicians Louis Banks on keyboards and Pandit Ronu Majumdar on flute. The seven tracks break new ground, and feature everything from slow ballads to high-energy funky fusion. Every track is notable in its own right, and reveals much more virtuosity than many other bland fusion albums. This album includes Satyajit Talwalkar on tabla and Gino Banks on drums (Gino, incidentally, is the son of Louis Banks). Majumdar’s flute work is excellent, and the drums and tabla blend together very well.
"Godfather of Jazz in India" Louis Banks

He is India's premier Jazz pianist since the last two decades as well as a prolific composer of music sound tracks for theater, stage and feature films. He continues to be the most sought after music composer of jingles, corporate anthems, audio visuals and documentaries. Despite his tremendous commercial success, his first love remains Jazz. He has performed with many international artists and toured all over the world.
Louis Banks has been widely acclaimed to be the "Godfather of Jazz in India".

"Grammy Nominee" Pandit Ronu Majumdar

A Grammy nominee, an internationally acclaimed flutist, a powerhouse performer... Ronu Majumdar's proficiency can hardly be described in words.
Born in Banaras, Ronu Majumdar is one of India's foremost exponents of the flute.
Representing the Maihar Gharana, Ronu's music is an irresistible treat to the listeners of north Indian classical music.
