| I think we are going too fast and too hard on ratio. In a real world you can't have every one having share ratio 1.0. Consider we have total 10 users and there can be only one seeder & one peer at any given time. User1 releases a movie, User2 downloads it. As soon as user2 is done, user1 stops seeding, user2 starts seeding and user3 begins dloading. In this way User10 will not have any one to seed, he can't have 1.0 ratio. Torrent doesn't work as of above example, I know that clearly. In torrent there can be 1 or more seeder and multiple leechers at any given time. If we take total 10 users and one of them released a movie, 9 others are dloading. In order to have 1.0 ratio each of those 9 users have to upload the whole movie, atleast. But unfortunately there are only 8 users left to whom s/he can upload to - as seeder already has the 100%. 1 (seeder) | V 2(Me) <--> 3 <--> 4 <--> 5 <--> 6 <--> 7 <--> 8 <--> 9 <--> 10 [Only 8 people can dload from me. who are also dloading from seeder and sharing w/each other] So, at best and with an even distribution, in any torrent system there can't be everybody w/1.0 ratio. I would like to see the minimum ratio to be 0.50. When we will have many users then we can go for 1.0. __________________ Hello, R U CDng? |
