Re: Tutorial: Ripping Subtitles in .srt format

5. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU TYPE ALL THE ALPHABETS EXACTLY AS THEY APPEAR. In other words make sure:

5.1 IF IT'S ITALIC = YOU TYPE ITALIC
5.2 IF IT'S NORMAL YOU TYPE IT AS NORMAL
5.3 if small fonts = you type small fonts
5.4 IF CAPITAL FONTS = YOU TYPE CAPITAL FONTS
5.5 you don't have TO worry about bold letters- type them as "normal" if they bold-normal. But if they are Bold-Italic make sure you type them as Italic.

--> This process, AFAIK, is called OCR

6. When this OCR process is done, press the 1s button that appears with a green background on the lower window. This is where you have seen the FPS button.. see beside FPS button and you'll find the 1s button

7. Now press the Correct! button. it corrects some of the common mistakes. See the image below to see what needs to be selected before you press the Correct! button

8. If you want to split the .srt file, then select Split Output File from the drop-down list of Output.

Now follow the instructions carefully and you're done :D

NOTE: IF YOU WISH TO SAVE THOSE OCR OUTPUT FILES (with .sum extension) SAVE THEM UNDER THE FOLDER ChMatrix. this folder is on the same folder where SubRip.exe. You can use them in future, for which, all you have to do is to guide SubRip to select a specific .sum file.

GOODLUCK :)
