Quote: On November 15th, A SIDR. Cyclone took more than 10,000 lives in just 1 day. Hearing this news about Bangladesh cyclone on 15th November we students of university of Manitoba and University of Winnipeg took some initiative to help the nation. In last 5 days we raised fund from Ufm and Ufw. We started our fund rising on November 21st on both campuses which lasted till 26th November. We are hoping to continue fund raising after exam period.
This fund rising at UFM was co-ordinate by Md. Asadul Islam, Mahmudul Hasan Hasmee and Fahim Mahmud Fahad. At UFW fund raising was co-ordinate by Abu Nazimul, Khaled Abedin, Abdul Baten and Mohammad Jasim.
Our first initiative was Media Conference at ufm and than we had booth it both at UFM and UFW. In two days we raised a decent amount of money. From friends Vineeth Mummadi, Gaurav Ahlawat, Tara Hewawellalage Dias, Dinuk Dias, Ali Reza, Rashedul Hassan Kallol, Feroz Ahamed, Zahirul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Tarequl Hasan, Asif, Joseph and Kim helped us in this cause, raising funds in short span of time. Also we want to thank you local businesses Charisma, Flying Pizza and Rasoi restaurant that helped in raising these funds.
