I really appreciate this post and like to thank the releaser. I haven’t downloaded it as I already have the Quran in mp3 format. It is a software with the recitation in arabic, display of verses and the English translation from Pickthal, Abdullah Yusufali and Shakir. I like it very much and if you people want it I can share it here as well.
I believe that there is no alternative other than trying to understand the guidance of Allah by reading and understanding Quran.
And do not follow (blindly) any information of which you have no (direct) knowledge. (Using your faculties of perception and conception, you must verify it for yourself. (In the Court of your Lord,) you will be held accountable for your hearing, sight, and the faculty of reasoning.[Sura Al Israa :Verse 36]
I used to think Quran as a difficult book but I now know that the fundamental messages of it is clear and we really need to understand those.
He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding. [ Sura Al Imran- verse 7]- translate by Shakir.
May Allah give us the knowledge to peruse the right path.
