You need to upload to increase your ratio. When you finish downloading something, keep your torrent client running. This is call seeding and by seeding a file you can increase your ratio.

Ratio 1.0 is the baseline ratio and anyone below will fall into ratio effect. Here is the system the tracker will follow...
Ratio in between 0.9 and below will have to face a wait time of 7 days pro rated by the ratio! anyone below .5 will get preferance if there is no one else is leaching the file and so on.

hope you all got a better picture now. This is what it stands as of now. we may change here there features to make it more effective to keep the files live bit longer... no matter what it takes. after all thats the bottom line of all these hard works.

If any of you happen to fall into one of those category please do not take any hurt feeling, we are trying our best to help the whole community and at the end of the day you are the one will get bennifited by it! So help MR. TRACKER out to improve BT's performance where it should be.

Lets live in the spirit of keeping ratio above 1:1 and enjoy the good things available for us!!

Excellent explaination,that means a lot to all the releasers and seeders,appreciate a lot your endless efforts.

Certainly you tried to being polite but let me clear that confusion to them who might feel hurt in this situation,this thread didn't raised for dedicated members.We are expecting from all the members to keep more than 1.1,If you keep 1.1 that means you are not supporting at all, but its OK,and less than that.......... we want to get rid of.

Anyway, thanks again Anonno and BG bhai for taking the decision to bring it back.I think you missed a part from my message about the new registration.

Eagerly wating to see the announcement that ratio script in action.

To add with Tarunno, you may follow the following link to make torrent and upload it on BT.

You also can seed the files you've downloaded from BT. Don't shut your torrent client once you finish downloading the files. Keep your torrent client running for someone else to download from you. If you are restarting your pc, start your client, if necessary right click on the torrent and select start. It should start seeding the files.

seems like some people are just taking advantage of the rules. for example, I was the 4th person to download close up 4th round part 2, and there were two seeders, when I finished downloading, but after that I saw another three persons complete download, but they just seeded it 50%, and they stopped seeding, and the numbers of seeders did not increased. they didn't care if others finished dl or not. maybe there should be a rule in place where after one finishes dl, he has to wait for atleast another person to finish downloading irrespective of whether he has uploaded the necessary amount or not.

thanks shovon4 for the post. actually torrent means shaing. give n take. but some people are missing the idea and dont have mentality to share. we imposed the ratio system back and it will make people bound to share.

but the most important thing is to have sharing mentality.

My eyes just got stuck to this thread. My ratio is just below .5 right now. And ever since I started using BT, I always keep my files seeding for at least 3-4 days. But for the last 3 months, I donno why my ratio dropped like hell. I donno why, after 5/6 hrs I can't seed anymore. I left no stone unturned, but isn't working at all. I am using utorrent. Can anyone help me......

If possible, stop downloading for a while and just keep seeding(File with leechers), hope it will help.

I wish i could seed to improve my ratio... but i live on-campus and use school's net connection. They have strict traffic limit, so if i upload i won't be able to download much and vice versa.

Don't know what to do man! :(

Few other BT members have same limitation as you do. I had to recover from a terribly poor ratio, I know exactly how you feel. Avoid downloading new files, just seed already downloaded programmes for few days/weeks...this will help you to improve ratio.

Here is the Clue. Visit help and support section and there are many threads which has discussed how to share a file through Banglatorrents. Keep your torrent client (Bit Comet, Azureus etc) running for everyone else to download from you. This is what we call 'Seed'. You wont be able to increase your ratio unless you seed. Good Luck.

Trying my best bro... somehow managed to pull it to 0.31 from 0.20. But is it really possible not to download staffs from BT? Almost all releases seem so tempting! Another thing is, not always people want to download the files i have.

Well even .50 will make me feel good!

I'm normally online using my laptop at work and so I have limited access to the internet but I do keep my files open but hardly anyone ever seeds from me and so I've bad ratio... ALso love to upload stuff but don't know how to make torrent files. Any assistance will be greatly apprectiated.

If you seed file which does not have any leecher then your ratio will not be increased. You can check with the seeder, leecher list before selecting files for seeding.
