Request: Watch your Ratio!

Ever since Temporary Ban on Torrents was taken off many of our members stopped seeding. Ratio went down dramatically. Files are dying off in matters of days. As you know we must seed as much as we can to keep the files alive for others.
Now I am requesting our dear members to start getting back to the habit of seeding the amount you downloaded, other wise we'll have to bring back the ratio system. This is just a wake up call for all of us for our own good!
So please try to increase your ratio with a minimum of 0.50 by the end of this month. If things are not improved by then you'll fall behind the ratio system and you are risking your membership as well!! Before you decide not to seed, be aware that you may not be able to downlaod at all!
So watch your ratio!
PS: If there is any reason you can't seed get in touch, we'll arrange something to help you out.

Thanks for putting this thread up . Can you please make it a "sticky" thread on every section ? We have been seeding so many files for more than 5/6 days to get 2/3 seeders . That's such a shame for us . People only like to leech these days but everyone think about themsleves as they should . There's no way we can blame them :)

So , it's a better idea that ratio system to come back again .

I strongly Agree with Taposhbai/Banglaguru. This is a shared system and sharing is the main key.
I personally download a lot less, so its is hard to upload, besides currently i have natok: Jolrong, obochetona and 2 Ittadi episodes download stuck at 50%. Another thing is that, sometimes the upload ratio goes down so bad that while download no one cares to download (my upload) from my PC. And in the last few weeks i have seeded Jolrong and found some people downloaded it but why is my ratio stuck at 0.13? I use Bittornado. Any solution?
if anyone wants to download them PM me. thanks. And reminding you all that banning doesnt help, it discourages people from coming to websites.

(2) ur ratio dint change because nobody actually d/led from u.might be for two reasons.if u seed@1 kbps and somebody seeds@50kbps the same torrent,torrent client will take much more from the speedy guy and practically doesnt take anything from u.

another case is,if somebody sees downloading speed is 1 kbps,chance is very high he/she would stop leeching and wait for some high speedy guy to come to speed

(3) we WANT to DISCOURAGE those ppl to come our website from whom we cant take anything,we always have to give.

As BanglaGuru and TaposhBhai have mentioned, BitTorrent is a P2P protocol which relies on *sharing*. It is not meant for dial-up users. To make use of this you need a broadband connection and you should upload at near enough the rate of your downloads. Admittedly, with ADSL, the upload speed is never equal to the download bandwidth which is why you need to seed the file long after you have finished the download until at least you have uploaded the same amount of bytes which you downloaded.

request e kono kaaj hocchey nah . I am still seeding few movies by myself for last one week . When you gonna ban the torrents ? Come on guys anyone got less than 0.35/0.40 , shouldn't be downloading nothing from here caz they are so selfish as usual so , we have to be the same to them .

There has been plenty of warning so can we bring the ban in again. Maybe put the threshold low to start with (e.g. 0.3) and increase it on a weekly basis.

Considering the requests we are on it. As of last week we are already working on our codes to make our system a bit more effective.

We'd like to let everyone know that we've decided to bring back the ratio system and your minimum ratio has to be .50 to download anything at all. I'll get more updates as we progress re-doing the codes.

i think banning shouldn't b permanent. i have a suggestion for ban duration:
0 - 0.25 : 4 weeks
0.26 - 0.50 : 2 weeks
if someone crosses 0.5 mark, he should be allowed to download again.

In a couple of other communities I regularly visit you can see the ratio direct on the top of the first page when you come to the site. Would this be doable here also? Another option is to display the ratio when the member is going to download a file - there was something like that before on this site.
Seeing the ratio regularly would help in keeping it healthy!

Is there any tips to increase my upload speed. Usually i see that the upload speed is only 10KBS, where i can get maxium 115KBS for download. My connection is 1MBS, thats why i am expecting to have higher upload speed. Any comments? Also i can not see my UL/DL raio. thanks.

i have been downloading Ronger Manush for 2 weeks. 81-90 and 100-108 have been stucked at 99% for 1 day. no one is interested in seeding. this is disappointing. most of the members has ration under 0.75

Hello admin brother i wish i can seed. but the problem is that the software i use to download is bitlord and it causes dramatic decrease in my line. thats why i cant start download or upload unless all the people of my home go out or not using the line. could please give some advice

bitlord make my 2mb line 200kb!!even i cant sign in in yahoo

pls give me a suggession that i can overcome and give some advice to become as a good seeder
