I think Mamun092's intention was not to attack you, but to point out some wrong comments you made before. I am really wondered after looking your negative comments abt Salma's songs. You should not make any comments without listening original singer's song. Nishita, who has been pronouncing too many wrong words during each song, was not remarked by you. This is bit strange for me.

Salma is the best, and I wll be happy to see her as the 'close up 1'.

I also speak that language. I don't say kheyechi or korechi instead I say khaisi and korsi. But my point was that Salma has pronuciation problems with 'juktakhkhor' which she should have recovered by now. I am not talking about those pronunciations like 'istitationer rel garita' which is like that in the original song. But Salma sang pan (should be pran) bondhu, pio (prio), diver (driver), pem (prem). I don't think 80% of us have this problem. I hope I have made myself clear about 'pronunciation problem'. It might be your opinion that this problem is alright but to me it is not acceptable at this stage. I want to see someone as closeup1 who is the best singer and also can represent Bangladesh in positive way.

And TeolABM I did not understand why you edited my post. I did not use any offensive word. If you did not agree with my comments you should have quoted me and given your answer in a different post.

I feel ashmed that in BT someone named mamun092 started writing who wants to express his opinion here but as a moderator of another website he is acting like a shameless dictator. I think whoever tried to express opinion in his so called message board knows what i am talking about.

If such people start writing here, BT will become polluted like this persons' so called moderated website. The way he abolished the right of expression of others in his administered forum, he needs to be shameless person to appear in a nice website like BT to express his opinion.

it was more effective to add the reply in your post beside the original arguments you have made. as hcanada said that you have attacked Salma and undervalued her talent. you even found some pronounciatin mistake in her songs. i could have even replied you in a new post. but it was just a way to make it more effective.

I agree with you. It would be very fair if Muhin, Salma, Nishita receives these points from judges. I am not sure why some of us bashing F. Nabi? If I was a judge my comments would not differ from F. Nabi. It is a competition judges has right to explain singers and viewers what is their faults.

Muhin - deserves to be closeup1. Nice voice and good singing style, has educational musical background (in a competition like closeup1 it is very important). Judges should give him 48-50.

Salma - I guess deserves 2nd best, because her voice has village accent and 80% ppl likes that accent. Even though I don't, to me in a music competition Salma's pronounciation problem is a big problem (Pran-> Pan, Prio->Pio). If ppl vote her that's not Salma's fault (I guess she earned it!), but if jugdes gives her low points (35-40) I don't think it will be unfair.

Nishita - I liked her performance this time, specially her moulik song. But still she had some problem with high nodes... . I will not surprise if she over takes Salma. I think she should get 40-43 from judges. But I will be happy if she takes 3rd place.

Salma and Nishita both has limitations, and I don't think they deserve to be closeup1.

nana munir nana mot. and same accusation again against Salma. i dont know from which part of BD you came as you found pronounciation problem of Salma where we dont find any wrong as it was in the original songs. if you are from Dhaka then you are right. for example, many of the songs of Hasaon Raja are in local Sylheti language. if Salma would have done any pronounciatin mistake then our hostile judges like F.Nabi and Kumar B.Jit woult not leave her without criticising. but Nishita had that kind of problem.

and your supporitng of the marks, i dont agree with. i even dont even agree with you about the judges attitueds towards our youngest competetor Salma. you may read some some leading newspapers from BD where NTV and some of the judges attitudes were openly criticised. do you think it is fair when in the Desher Gaan round ntv only showed some background scenes with Muhin and Ronty's songs? they were bisaded and in the final round you will notice that both F.Nabi and Kumar were more careful on criticising of Salma.

to understand mystic and boul songs of our culture you need to feel it from the heart. for instance, even some years ago people would look down upon singers who sing folklore. but now you see modern and band musicians after folklore. they collect the famous and popular songs from the country-side and make some changes and sing. if you are a fan of band songs then it will be hard for you to judge the real folklore.

one more thing: in which part of Bangladesh the real Bangali is spoken? the answer is not Dhaka but Kushtia from where Salma comes. so before croticising her pronounciatin remember this fact. even illiterate people speak pure Bangla there.

I don't think it is mattar where viewers came from, all it matters in a music competition shuddho bangla pronounciation is the standard not hason/sylheti accent. F Nabi and Kumar did not mention anything, because if they do all Salma fans will start screaming from everywhere. So it is better to keep silent, and they have the right to judge from their positions without listening anyone's comments about Salma/Nishita.


I am not a big fan of band songs, I love boul songs and folk songs. So you can feel now what kind of viewer I am. I understand music very well, that's why I can see their mistakes very clearly. This is why most of the time my choices matches with judges. :)

the Closeup1 show will be over very soon and all these discussions will be a past....but...only thing remaining at the end of the day is our perceptions about the fellow posters and moderators ....

I always had a perception that the moderators or the admins here are fair and have respect for democracy. But, I am sorry to see that this trend is changing....

so my humble request to the moderators will be please be fair and respect the opinions of the posters here. If you like Salma you can always mention that, but don't try to unfairly edit the posts of ppl who show their own opinions about Salma or any other contestant without using slang/abusive words.....

Bai, I didnt have any intention to attack anybody personally. I still think I didnt do that. But after that if some member think I did that I am sorry abut that. I am also not come here to treat anybody. When I come this site, i fully respect this site rules. But without listening orginal song, nobody cant say salma got pronounciation problem. I think everybody know that salma come from kustia. Kustia's bangla language is more modern than anywhere in bangladesh (even than dhaka). Its not mine word, Its said by bangladeshi language specialist. And one more thing, u r nobody to say that I dont deserve to write in BT. I got ful right to write here, If I respect and maintiance their rule. I always try to do that. When ferdous bai made comment abut salma, he used some bad word. Some other member also notice that & made comment abut that word. What U think, Is it good to use sling word to express opion? Anyway, thnx every body in this forum.

Guys, you won't believe, this is 24th of December and I have not listened the songs yet. After the previous round, as I told, my feeling about close up1 is it's just a joke and that feeling has not yet been completely evaporated. Today I will listen the songs and will vote (several thousands, I guess) for the one whom I find the best; it can be Muhin, can be salma, or Nishita. No pre-choice.

Before doing that, I just visited all your valuable comments. And I sadly found that some moderators are moderating anything going against Salma. FOr example, some people may find her pronunciation wrong and can comment on that. You moderators can, by law, do anything you like; but in the civilzed world, one has to respect other people's opinion. If you fail to do that, it just shows your deficiency in doing the job. I am not in favor of using your power to do something that makes me think, we are still in the 18th century and I think, BT is not intended for campaigning for a particular contestant.
