Firefox!

The firefox browser has its own default settings which need to be edited to do this. Once done your browsing speed should increase by 300 to 500%.

1. Type 'about:config' in the address slot (doesnt matter if you are offline)

In the menu you get go to network.http.pipelining by default its value is set to false, double click it to get it to say true by enabling this your firefox browser sends multiple requests to a website.

2. In the next line the interger is network.http.pipelining.maxrequests its value by default is 4 double click on it and set the value to somewhere between 20 to 30, this means that your browser would send 20 to 30 requests simultaneously to a website (dont go beyond 30 for the sake of morality- its a website after all and has banwidth monitoring).

3. Some rows below find another integer network.http.proxy.pipelining, it is set to false, double click and set to true.

4. Lastly add a new integer, right click anywhere and select new>integer, preference name would be nglayout.initialpaint.delay set its value to zero, this new integer makes the browser display immediately any information it retrieves from the website the zero indicates the time the browser should wait before acting on the data retrieved from an web address.

And so you are done.Well I stole this info from some other website.

Use Firefox instead. Its way better, faster, more convenient than IE.

Internet Explorer!

Whether you can make Internet Explorer a lot faster or not depends mostly on your current Internet connection, but this handy tip is an excellent example of putting the registry to work for you. I am on DSL and was able to see a significent improvement. Before doing anything else, be sure to back up the registry. What we are going to do is increase the number of streams that your browser can draw from. Since Internet Explorer complies with HyperText Protocol v1.1, browsers usually only draw two streams or less from a Web server. We are going to increase that from two streams to six. This should enable you to browse much faster. To begin:

Click Start | Run.
Type regedit and click OK.
Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Software, Microsoft, Windows, CurrentVersion.
Click on Internet Settings to view its contents.
Check Regedit's right-hand column for the following two lines (values):
MaxConnectionsPerServer
MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
If these values are present, right-click on the first value (MaxConnectionsPerServer), select Modify from the drop-down menu, click Decimal, and set the Value data field to 6. Repeat this process for the second value (MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server).
If these lines (values) are not listed, right-click on the white region of Regedit's right-hand column, click New, and then click DWORD Value.
Enter MaxConnectionsPerServer for the name of the new DWORD Value and press Enter. The new value should now appear in Regedit's right-hand column.
Right-click the new value and click Modify.
As in step six, click Decimal and set the Value Data field to 6, then click OK.
Repeat steps seven through 10 using MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server as the new DWORD Value name instead of MaxConnectionsPerServer.
You are done. Close Regedit and test Internet Explorer.

you can use a small (free) tool called tcp optimizer instead, if you are not comfortable editing in system registry.

Thank you very much for sharing this essential stuff .I was looking for this for a long time.How can I increase my upload speed since I dedicated two of my computer just for seeding ( 24/7 ).Both of my computer has winXP2,100 Mbps Comcast connection and UTorrents.I have lightning downloading speed,any big file could be downloaded at least 600/700 Kbps speed and at the same time uploading speed may be 30/40 Kbps and thats it ,I can't seed after downloading or may be sometimes for a while. Anybody could suggest me what should I do to increase my uploading speed ???:76: :76: :76:

Well as far I'm concerned u only upload a bit faster(50 Kbps) than the speed u mentioned & it depends also on the provider or u can try out some other providers.

Thanks for your valuable suggestion and looking up my problem.:smile: :smile:
My only concern is deteriorating seeding speed.ie,I used to have 2.91 ratio and now I have 2.66 and every time I download something I loose some ratio that mean I couldn't seed anymore I used to.I guess I need to start seeding or become a one of the provider to get my ratio back !:76: :76: :76:

Dl Allowed speed is 64kbits or 8 Knytes per second. What will be my ideal configs. If U Reply me i will be highly obliged.
