Smile Almost all keyboard shortcuts!!!!

Getting used to using your keyboard exclusively and leaving your mouse behind will make you much more efficient at performing any task on any Windows system. I use the following keyboard shortcuts every day:

Windows key + R = Run menu

This is usually followed by:
cmd = Command Prompt
iexplore + "web address" = Internet Explorer
compmgmt.msc = Computer Management
dhcpmgmt.msc = DHCP Management
dnsmgmt.msc = DNS Management
services.msc = Services
eventvwr = Event Viewer

Windows key + E = Explorer

CTRL + Shift + Esc = Task Manager

Windows key + Break = System properties

Windows key + F = Search

Re: Almost all keyboard shortcuts!!!!

Here is some more

From the RUN box, you can type 'dxdiag' to get to the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.... it displays system info such as:
OS
BIOS version
Processor
Memory
DirectX Version
Display chipset
Sound info
etc. etc.

ALSO, with Windows XP, you can make your own shortcuts easily.... Anything you have on your START bar, right click on that shortcut, then go to properties. There is a box that says 'SHORTCUT KEY'. Put the cursor in that box, and press the key you want to use to launch that shorcut.

At work, I use:
CTRL + SHIFT + C = Calculator
CTRL + SHIFT + N = Notepad
There are others too...
