This is the magnificent documentary by Satyajit Ray on Rabindranath Tagore. It was made in 1961 and was almost lost until NFDC, India resurrected it a few years ago. It still is one of the greatest documentaries made.
I don't think this has ever been commercially released. Its rarely screened nowadays and few people below the age of 45 may have had the opportunity to see it.
It is my privilege to share this documentary with all of you.
The quality unfortunately, is only 'very good'. There is a gap in the sound stream for about 1 1/2 minutes after the 13th minute of the film. For the technically minded the stats are as follows:
