[I've decided to make readers perceive the idea a bit differently.] :)
1)koto din dhore desh er baire achi, kothai achi, keno achi?
- I've been here, in Ontario, practically all my life. It's been 13 years since I've lived here, so I grew up here, with frequent visits to Bangladesh. Keno achi? Probably for the same reason everyone is here... My parents decided to allow us to lead a peaceful, successful life, which we're trying to make the best of.
2)bidesh e thakar problem guli ki?
- There are many problems. I've lived in a small town filled with white people at one part in my life. At that time, discrimination was prevalent. I was a victim of racism, something I wouldn't have been back home.
Almost all my relatives live in BD. :(
3)prothom ashar pore bangali der kach theke kemon support peyechi.local ppl der achoron i ba kemon chilo?
- prothom ashar pore kemon legechilo, ta tho mone nai. (obviously... I was too young. At that time, there were hardly any Bengalis in the city I used to live in.)
But one thing is for sure: I try to help the new-comers I encounter.
4)kokhono ki mone hoi je 'eshe bhul korlam' ba 'shob chere ferot chole jabo'?
- I can never think of such a thing. I prefer living here all my life, and the thought of living in Bangladesh is quite impossible and impractical in my case.
5)desh e ka ke shob cheye besh miss koren?
- As someone who visits BD for short periods of time frequently, I am the favourite niece/ grand-daughter/ cousin. I miss my grandparents the most.
6)EXTRA:
- I love BD, and no matter how long I live here, I'll always be Bangladeshi by heart but never fully Canadian. Bangla bhuli nai. In fact, Bangla bolte pari, porte pari, ebong lekhte-o pari. I love natoks (especially 69

) and Bangla songs (my favourite contemporary artist is Habib).
I'm a very proud Bangali! :D
