How to upload using Azureus?

I'm a new member here! I have a few bengali video songs (chumki), some 'natok' and some bengali mp3s. Now i'm wondering if anyone would be interested...
But first of all i would need (clear) instructions how to upload by using Azureus (i've installed that one).
Can someone help me out please?

In Azureus, start by clickin file from the menu bar then to new torrent (Files > New Torrent) or you can just click on the 5th icon right below the menu bar, the one looks like a white sheet of paper with a fold in the corner (create new torrent). After you click on "create a torrent" a window will pop-up, there make sure you have the radio selected for "use an external tracker". Right below in announce URL put this http://tracker.banglatorrents.com:2710/announce

Leave everything as it is and only thing you need to check is wheather it is just a file you are uploading or a directory (meaning a folder), then click next.

Next window ask you to locate the file or directory, click on browse and then locate the file/directory, the address of your file (ie. c:\download\natok.avi and for folder c:\download\thismp3folder ). The click next.

In this window, leave everything as it is. Piece size = Auto and make sure everything below it is UNCHECKED. And now you are done, hit finish. After it finishes, hit close. A new file with the same name as the directory or the file (ie. natok.avi, but actually a torrent file) will be created, icon of that new file will be the azerus (blue frog) icon. That is the torrent file that you would need to post in your thread as attachment. After you have successfully attach the torrent file, immidiately go back and delete the torrent file from you harddrive (delete it from you computer after you attach it in the thread).

Now the easy part! come back to your thread, where you have attached the torrent file and click on it to download the file (yes, just like you would do if someone else have released it). The only difference is this time you will tell Azureus to save the file in the same place as it already exist in your harddrive (kinda like overwritting the existing file). Don't worry it will not start to download the whole file, instead Azureus will recognize that they are the same file and create a new torrent file (you dont need to worry about after you click save) and start to seed after the checking is complete as explained in the last picture below. And that's it, leave your Azureus open and people will download from you in no time. However, you must have your firewalls setup for Azureus to function properly if you have tight security settings. You can find help on how to forward port by searching in "Help & Support" thread.

Zitu82, Thank you very much once again for your time and instructions! I think i manged to upload/seed Chumki albam on the site! How am i doing so far? is it working? I couldn't, attach/add the screenshots though!

You are doing great, you have uploaded successfully and you are seeding it as well. Now for the screen shot, I have created a thread on how to take screenshots with windows media player. Follow the link for the instruction.

i have also followed zitu bro's instruction and uploaded a drama .. dont know whether its working or not .. still no seeding :( .. lets c :D .. thanks a lot zitu bro

I am using a 1MB NTL connection for my torrents. I also use a desktop dedicated for the download and upload only. I don’t share the line with anyone and I don’t use the line for browsing as well. But I am getting maximum 20 kbps upload speed(though i set it to infinity) with Azureus. How can I increase that? I am now seeding al most 24 hours a day. But because of the speed it is very difficult to upload more. Please help me to solve this problem.

Ok guys heres my situation. I have uploaded the file onto BT using Azureus and it is connected perfectly with another peer and is currently uploading. However, the problem remains that the upload speed is very bad. Usually stays at 3.2Kb/s but often shifts back and forth by 1.6Kb/s's (e.g. sometimes goes at 6.4Kb/s for abt a second and shifts back down to 3.2 again). I can never reach a satisfactory upload speed. Can any of u help???

hello, i did evrything u said using azureus to upload a file....but after checking and when its start to seedig ---unregistered torrent pass is shown in status box..why?

What u r facing is quite normal. Upload speeds to a single peer depends not just on your speed, but on network conditions and his ability to download. It is rare, in my experience, to find a single peer who can either seed or download at high speeds (24 kbps plus). Your total upload speed will increase when more peers join and you can upload to many of them at once.

Similarly, when downloading, download speeds with single seeders is usually slow. It picks up when the number of seeds increase and when other leechers also share/upload simultaneously with downloading.

Delete the Torrent file from your torrent client and from your computer(preferably from recycle bin as well), log out from BT,delete all the cookies.
Then Login to BT again. Download the torrent file from BT ,save and then run in Azureus. After checking It will start seeding. Hopefully it would work.
