I have a question.

While checking my profile, I have found :

Downloaded: 2.21 GB - Uploaded: 560.91 MB (0.25 ratio)
DL Speed: 0.08 KB/s - UL Speed: 0.00 KB/s

What does this uploaded: 560.91 MB mean? I am new here, trying to understand the system. Even if i am not uploading anything, why it's showing 560.91 MB uploaded?

thats the amount your bit torrent client was uploading while you were downloading the file. (the same file). Bit torrent is not like downloading froma website, its about sharing btwn users.

Infact, u have downloaded 2.21 GB and shared 560 MB = 0.25 ratio is a BAD thing. In the torrent system you must upload as much as u download. That means don't close the torrent as soon as u finish downloading it - leave it on until u have ATLEAST uploaded as much as you have downloaded. This way, other people will be able to receive the file also. No 1 person can upload a file forever, so for a file to survive you MUST continue to upload (SEED) ie keep ur torrents open until the upload = the download.

This is how torrents work. Give and you shall receive. Hope its clearer now.
