I cant record hi-res video with Pinnacle TVCenter very sad

hello geeks,

I hav Pinnacle PCTV 50i internal tv card. but the problem is i can't record video with hi resulation (720 x 480 ) i can only record vcd quality video ( 352 x 288)

see the shot:

you can see there is Direct to dvd capture option available. but i don't hav dvd writer so ian't use this option ; it's disabled :(

so cant i record video with hi resulation (720 x 480 ) with my Pinnacle PCTV 50i internal tv card ????
