Hello you all,

My name is Micheal and I am a 20 year old college student from the Netherlands. I myself am not of Bengali or Bangladeshi extraction. I hope that doesn't pose a problem. I don't want to intrude but I do have an interest in Bangladeshi and Indian culture. When I was younger (13-14) I had a relationship with a Bengali girl and she introduced me to the marvels of that culture.

Last year I went to Serbia to do some volunteer work. I really liked it and would like to do it some more. However, since I have never left Europe before I would like my next trip to be somewhere far away from home. So I thought why not Bangladesh? My grandfather once visited that country, as a salesmangager for Philips, and from all the countries he's been to this is the one he remembers best and tells the best stories about. If it is possible I would like to do some volunteerwork in Bangladesh as well.

Well, I hope I introduced myself a little and that I am accepted on this board. I would really like to learn more of Bangladesh and not just from the books. Watching real Bangladesh films and TV would be great.
