Nazrul Jayonti, 107th Birthday of our National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Let me share some pictures of my favorite poet with you. Most of them are from different old newspapers which are not very clear.

Dukhu Mia- Bidrohi kobi during his youth

At the age of 25

1929- During Bidrohi Kobi's Chittagong visit

1929- The year his four-year-old son Bulbul died of smallpox

Bidrohikobi Nazrul was arrested. On 16 December 1930, he was found guilty and awarded six months' rigorous imprisonment for "Chandravindu "


1940- When the great Poet was in association with the music maestro, Sureshchandra Chakravarty, broadcast from Kolkata station many raga-based music programmes of exceptional quality. This was regarded as the most significant phase of Nazrul's music life.
