Saradindu Bandyopadhyay's Byomkesh Bakshi is perhaps the greatest of the detectives in Bengali literature. I wonder if there is a Bengali who hasn't at some time read and enjoyed these novels and short stories.
In 1993, Doordarshan, India aired a 25 episode serial based on Saradindubabu's Byomkesh Bakshi. It was directed by Basu Chatterjee and the Musical score was by Ananda Shankar. Rajit Kapur and KK raina played Byomkesh and Ajit respectively.
The serial was hugely popular. I was able to tape (on VHS) 17 of the 25 episodes and have been able to collect 3 from other sources. I can convert these tapes into MPEG and then to AVI files and upload them. The process takes approx. 3 hours per episode.
Unfortunately, the serial is in Hindi.
I request the moderators to advise me if I can upload these episodes in this forum. It's can't be upcoming release as I saw few episodes of this , it's in total hindi ;

It is a rule in this site, that we do not upload anything in Hindi or any other language unless it is specifically permitted by the moderators.
In this case the Mods have not given me specific permission to upload.
